This project is the result of a six-month collaboration with fellow photographer Neal Holland. We traveled through the state of Arkansas photographing buildings that existed during the period that the photographic medium of Wetplate Collodion was used. This series represents one of the most difficult projects I have ever endeavored because of both the difficulty of working in Wetplate as well as our having to build all of the equipment ourselves. This included the conversion of a process camera into a Wetplate camera capable of shooting 18"x24" plates.
